Mc Donalds
what we did
Not to be confused with the Netflix film “Big Mäck”, everyone’s favourite burger, the Big Mac, needed a facelift. Big by name and bigger by nature, is exactly how people wanted it. You might even say they wanted it that way. Hang on, that sounds like a song from the 90s! So we used that song (don’t worry, all rights were cleared… thanks Backstreet Boys!) to let everyone know about the new and improved Big Mac.
how we did it
However, the Backstreet Boys weren’t the only ones who felt like singing. Our mustachioed protagonist and his cloned boy band wanted a go, a bobble head, some animated fish, some cartoon characters and even a family photo also felt like they deserved their big break. So they got it! We casted voices, worked with some big names in the cartoon world, did some singing ourselves and created voices and choirs for all of the different characters in the various campaign films.
It also turns out a finished instrumental doesn’t necessarily fit to the timing of a TVC, so we recreated parts of the backing track to make sure the full flow of the song could fit into 30 seconds. Man they had some quirky sounds back in the 90s!
On top of all that, we took care of the final mix, creating a different sound for each of the scenes that our new vocalists found themselves in. Tell me why!?! Ah, ‘cause I want it that way!
